Kenosha Juneteenth Lifetime Achievement Recognition

Rasheeda and RyannSimone Marks-Walker were deeply honored to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award and proclamations celebrating the life and contributions of Katherine Marks. Many may not be aware, but Katherine was among the trailblazers who played a pivotal role in bringing the Juneteenth Celebration to Kenosha in 1987. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Juneteenth Committee for the invitation, as well as to Senator Tammy Baldwin and the City of Kenosha for recognizing Katherine Marks' lasting impact.
